One thing I've learned this season: Don't count out Michigan State. They dominated two consecutive Big East 1 seeds. They also knocked out Pac-10 Tourney Champ USC and defending National Champ Kansas.

Tomato Cans and Aaron - I'm right with you guys with the UNC, UConn final. Both from a personal bracket and viewing interest standpoint - I'd much rather see Huskies-Tar Heels than say...MSU-'Nova. I think it'll be fun to see how Thabeet matches up with Michigan State center Goran Suton tonight. He's leading the Spartans with 14.3 ppg and 11.5 rpg in the Tournament. Suton's a Memhet Okur-type that likes to pick-'n-pop and step away from the basket. That could open up the middle for guards like Kalin Lucas. This might be tighter than most people think. Also, there's a pretty good blog by on Suton by DTG..."Suton Gets Rewarded."

I agree with your predictions. Thabeet has struggled against physical big men this year and Tyler Hansbrough is definetly a physical big man. If UNC and and UConn end up meeting in the final, look for Hansbrough to physically dominate Thabeet.

I share your concerns. Sadly, I believe the opportunity for newspapers and the internet to coexist without experiencing the pain most newspapers are going through right now came and went many years ago.

The elimination of newspapers is such a growing concern and it's terrifying to see it stretch into the sports world. When word that The Rocky Mountain News surfaced around campus at the University of Florida, the first thing I question I thought of was "so, who will cover the Broncos?"

As an undergraduate journalism student, I hope there is some way for newspapers and the Internet to coexist. I don't want to read my sports coverage from bias blog writers or have to go through epic amounts of box scores to see how many RBIs Derek Jeter had for the season.

Louisville, North Carolina, Duke, Memphis.

I filled out a bracket, but I didn't give it much thought. I picked Memphis and North Carolina for the championship game, with North Carolina winning it all.
