Hello all!

My name is Bret Beachner and I am the official newb of the College Fanz team!  I have been brought on to help out with covering small college athletics and this is where I get to talk about it.  I'll be talking about anything and everything, and even doing some live blogs of some of the NAIA National Tournaments coming up.

At this point you may be thinking to yourself, 'Self.  What's going on and why is this guy here?  Better yet, why should I care?'

Good questions, Self.  In response to those questions I say this.  Essentially, I am here to bring you, the fanz, another outlet to small college sports.  I played football at the University of Sioux Falls, home of small college sports.  I know how great this side of college athletics is.  Everyone knows that college athletes, at any level, work very, very hard.  What's different about small college athletes is the amount of love they have for the game.  They aren't playing to get to "the next level".  This is what I'll be talking about in this blog.

So feel free to chime in and tell me how wrong I am about a topic, or, more likely, what a wonderful job I am doing for the world of small college athletics and mankind as a whole.

However, after saying all these profound things, I do realize I am the newb.  So go ahead and duct tape me to the internet goal posts and leave me over night.  I just have to figure a way out.

I am excited to get this thing going and hearing more from all the small college fanz out there!
