Lindenwood Ranked Second In Preseason HAAC Football Poll

 
Aug. 13, 2008- The Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) released its 2008 preseason coaches' poll this afternoon during its annual media day in Kansas City. The top of the conference poll reflected the national poll with Missouri Valley, Lindenwood and MidAmerica Nazarene being the heavy favorites.

Missouri Valley, which was ranked third in the national poll, led the HAAC poll with 99 points. The Vikings received nine of the 11 first-place votes. The other two first-place votes went to Lindenwood which was second in the poll with 88 points. The defending conference champion was ranked ninth in the national poll. MidAmerica Nazarene, which is ranked 12th nationally, was third in the conference poll with 85 points.

Rounding out the poll was Benedictine in fourth, Evangel and Graceland tied for fifth, Baker and William Jewell tied for seventh, Central Methodist in ninth, Avila in 10th and Culver-Stockton in 11th.

Lindenwood opens it season on Sept. 6 at MidAmerica Nazarene.

Lindenwood will be taken out behind the woodshed by Mid-America Nazarene on Saturday. For those of you unfamiliar with that term it means that bad things will happen to Lindenwood.
