QB transfer opens the door for Pryor
The transfer of backup QB Antonio Henton to Georgia Southern has most likely opened the door for freshman sensation Terrelle Pryor to be first backup QB at the start of the season. Look for this freshman to see alot of playing time in his first year as a buck-eye.
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A newspaper reports that Ohio State's backup quarterback
Antonio Henton is expected to transfer to Georgia Southern. Several sources close to the team tell The Columbus Dispatch the move will happen soon. Ohio State coach Jim Tressel would not confirm the transfer. A Georgia Southern spokesman also would not confirm the report. Henton is a redshirt sophomore from Georgia. He has been battling redshirt freshman
Joe Bauserman for the No. 1 backup spot behind senior starter
Todd Boeckman. Incoming freshman Terrelle Pryor is also expected to be in the running for the top backup spot. Henton sat out much of last year under a legal cloud before pleading guilty to a minor misdemeanor count of loitering for prostitution. He would have three years of eligibility at Georgia Southern.
