It's still very much up in the air. I think it's safe to say that it'll be a QB that wins it and a couple of the contenders will be eliminated in the next couple of weeks. Starting with Texas-Oklahoma this week. The losing QB could very well drop out of the race.

1. Chase Daniel, QB, Missouri: Went into a place where Mizzou hasn't won in thirty years and laid the smack down. Oh, and he might have gotten spit on as well.

2. Sam Bradford, QB, Oklahoma: Easy win vs Baylor. He could have piled on the numbers if he was allowed.

3. Max Hall, QB, BYU: His numbers are really good but unless BYU goes unbeaten he doesn't have a shot.

4. Javon Ringer, RB, Michigan St: Sub-par game for him but he's still the most viable RB Heisman candidate out there.

5. Graham Harrell, QB, Texas Tech: The competition for TT will get tougher but by seasons end his numbers will be the best in the country by far.

Finally someone mentions Ringer in a article on here! This is the first time I have seen him besides in artilces I have written.

Anyhow I think he has a legit chance on winning the Heisman. Yes he had an off week with only 91 yards (88 less than his average). But he will bounce back. I have a feeling he will have huge games against both Northwestern and Michigan. He averages almost 5 yard a carry. As long as Ringer stays healthy, which has been an issue in past seasons, he should be fine and at the top of the Heisman race.

I personally think RB's are the best players in the game. You look at L. Tomlinson for the Chargers in the NFL...he rushes like crazy finding the holes. He is a decent receiver coming out of the back field and he throws TD from time to time. Quarter backs just throw the ball and run when they really need too. Tebow won the Heisman because he was extremely versatile.
Don't get me wrong, Daniel and Bradford are great players. But they don't take the beating of 212 carries getting hit every play.
