With less than 3 weeks before selection Sunday, things really aren't clearing up...at all. Utah State went down tonight, likely ruining a chance for an at large. Same can probably be said for Siena, who went down last night. Creighton on the other hand keeps winning and may be able to get in without winning the MVC. Maybe. Providence helped itself this week with a win over Pitt. Cincinnati did the same by beating West Virginia...but a loss at Syracuse may drop them right back out. Clemson lost twice this week, hurting themselves a little, but not too much. The real losers in my latest bracket are South Carolina and Kentucky. Kentucky is fading fast, and any more losses may get them an NIT bid. Arizona dropped a lot this week too after two straight losses. The real winners, and I don't understand this at all, are Ohio State and Tennessee. Most bracket projections I've seen have both teams comfortably in, and I disagree with both. Tennessee does have a top five strength of schedule...BUT look at their resume: Good wins over Georgetown (Not in the bracket this week, or next week as they need to do Big East Tournament damage) and Siena (who may miss if they don't win their tournament). Their best win is over Marquette, who may start to falter without Dominic James. In total, the Vols only have six RPI Top 100 wins and are losers of 5 out of their last ten. I have them as a nine this week, and falling fast. Ohio State too puzzles me. Most 'bracketologists' have them safely in as well. OSU's resume: Beat Miami (FL) and Notre Dame, two teams currently not in, but very well may get in, Michigan (2x) who is currently in, but not safely. Their best wins are over Butler and Purdue (who was without Robbie Hummel at the time). They have 9 top 100 wins, 1 over the top 25. But they too have lost five of 10. Oh to be in a BCS conference, I suppose. Anyway, here's my bracket through Saturday night's games:

with cali now ahead of arizona st. in the conference standings as well as overall, i think we will overtake their 6 seed, especially if we beat them. and washington is not a lock yet for the pac 10 champion, if they lose their last conference game and ucla wins theirs, they share it.
